Step down from your pedestal, sir. Pride does not become you.

We are talking about an easily demonstrated statistical point, on which supporting links were provided. Have you checked either link, frecklybeckly? (I thought not!)

Look, if one of the boasters above hadn't thought it an important "pro-Yale" point to make, he wouldn't have falsely claimed that New Haven had a lower crime rate than either Cambridge or Providence.

Why can't we just resolve this very simple matter, withdraw the improper claim, and move on to boast about other things?

okay fine Byerly, on behalf of the Yale board, I withdraw; we were wrong, oh-so-wrong, and we will pay for our sins

haha beth, thanks

On that note, bebere87 consider the matter closed; beckly & co. are in your debt.

Great!....Let's have a party to make it official!!

But remember - stick to well-lighted areas near the campus!

Hopefully you'll stick to well-lighted areas near Harvard's campus...after all, you probably wouldn't feel safe near Yale's...

Oh, wait, the matter is closed...

runs off to Sterling Memorial

WOOPS! You're too young for a martini anyway. How about a hamburger?

Vivaldi87, Bebere87, Frecklybeckly, Byerly is not a Harvard student. He posts relentlessly, 24/7 as NYCfan on other well-known college discussion websites (hugs and kisses, PR etc.). He is a Harvard college graduate, read law at UMich, probably retired, interviews for Harvard, knows people at Princeton, reads all the college dailies daily, has access to a huge storehouse of interesting data, is a relentless Harvard booster, is first to post on any news relating to the Ivies, disdains the top LACs as "teeny tinies," trashes Yale at every opportunity (for that reason posts more on the Yale board than the Harvard board), rarely posts about his other alma mater UMich, never provides any truly helpful admissions-related info, is more interested in polemics than friendly banter (even with strained attempts at such), and is fun to have around as long as you don't take him too seriously. His postings work better at the other wild-wild-west-no-holds-barred websites. His style is not really suited to the public t

....wow...

Seriously .

.....martinis byerly?.......at least vivaldi would go for a jack daniel's and not some pansy-assed martini. I assume you like the long stem glass as well.....

Ordering martinis would be a respectful nod to Yale.

The YALIE TROLL (a well known Yale and New Haven spokeperson at "the other site") is fond of telling everyone how far New Haven has progressed in its effort to irradicate slums and fill empty storefronts.

He has told us many times about the scores of "upscale martini bars" bordering the Yale campus.

So it occurred to me that a tour of these establishments would be a nice introduction to New Haven for the rookies!

like you care about Yale Rookies!.....you certainly haven't made an attempt to make friends with any of them!
