I keep the window decal from our high school on my rear window, along with decal from two of the universities – one big name, one tech school – that my daughters attended. It’s my way of saying “yes, our public schools work” to those who, with little real information, scoff at sending children to the local public schools.

I have yet to see a local community college sticker on anyone’s car so far. Maybe somebody should start a trend.

I do. I see them.

Yup, me and my wife’s car have Cornell’s window decal also. It reminds us of our daughter.

Not to be difficult, but how does one see one’s own bumper sticker? I know I won’t be able to.

My black car would never be found but for the bumper sticker in rear, and the butterfly hanging inside front of car. Only color more popular in my area is white.

I’ve twice met people who attended my alma mater (800 miles away), because of the license plate frame. Not a life-changer, but nice.

I would never put a sticker from a PhD program. Chances are I would be explaining why I or my child never finished. I understand putting undergrad, medical and law school stickers on the car, but schools of doctoral programs? No.

D’s college is less well known out here in the east and yet we are amazed at how many people have connections to the school. The sticker does invite a conversation and connection. Of course, it is rather bad PR for the school if I cut some one off…
