Bumping from Presidential to Trustee

I know this has sorta been covered, but I got my new SAT results and I was wondering if it is possible to be bumped from Presidential to Trustee for the scholarship? I had 1390/2160 and now I have 1500/2270.

Thanks.

One of my friends interviewed for the Pres and recieved the Trustee... You are not guaranteed either, though, just because you were invited to interview (Another one of my friends interviewed for the Trustee and received the Deans)...

Do you know if you automatically get at least the dean's scholarship?

hm. well i got 2280 ON THE FIRST TRY IN ONE SITTING and i didn't get an interview at all..... (excellent GPA, EC's, awards, essays, etc)... so I'd definitely say its not a gaurantee (i was accepted early, however, last week). and no- you don't automatically get the dean's scholarship. last year only 53 students received the dean's scholarship.

/\ That sounds really bitter. I can understand but is it really necessary to let your discontent just oozes through the keyboard.

yea, you really need to tone down the bitterness. i can see why you didn't get the interview. you've been like this for days.

so conceited we are

maybe it's all in the essays and recs.

yeah, i prolly came across as too cocky in the essays myself...(was it a good idea to put "sexy" as one of the three words to describe me? lol)...but oh well, the past is 100% NOT in my control, so why worry/be bitter?

does usc have a lotta hot girls?

haha... so i am bitter.. and poor.. and at an extremely stressful point in my life right now... so please exuse the negativity : )

btw: gcards1: your comment was totally unnecessary. i may be a whiner, but i didn't insult you... i just suppose your post just reminded me of how frustrated i was with the whole situation.

Yesforcollege:
I went to visit during the summer, and there were a lot of hot girls...my assumption is that it only gets better during the normal school year!

and saying you (in caps) got 2280 on THE FIRST SITTING wasn't belittling to me?

It's okay. Just leave it at that.

i didn't mean it as an insult to you, i meant it as "DANG those admission officers are so lame sometimes!" besides- you got it, that's all that matters, right?

so- to summarize- congrats to you. i'm being a poop about it because i'm jealous : )

sarahjhansen was/is on her menstrual cycle....no doubt. She has done this on a number of other posts...then she turns around and apologizes...I could see it coming after I read her first post. It doesn't matter how many sittings, I don't see why people are so proud of that.

^ I do have to agree that Sarah is a little bitter (sorry Sarah but there's definitely a lot of disappointment/bitterness in your posts. I don't blame you for it, but....yeah.)

HOWEVER...don't drag the woman's menstrual cycle into it! Boys always jump to the conclusion that females are constantly PMSing lol

misoobishi: i will admit... i am bitter. and disappointed. i'm one of those people who beats themselves up over things and takes every letdown as a personal insult, and i suck at letting things go. i'm totally willing to admit that.

juiceboxhero: no- i am not on my menstrual cycle, and that was extraordinarily rude of you to say so. as i stated before- my frustration is not directed at gcards1, but at the admissions office. do i need to let it go and move on? yes. is my life complete and total hell right now because of circumstances in my life that you are unaware of? yes. could that be a huge reason for my negativity in the past week or so? definitely. i apologized, i said congrats- lets move on.

"the past is 100% NOT in my control, so why worry/be bitter?"

moneylicious06: .... can i PLEASE borrow some of your carefree attitude??? PLEASE?!??!?!?!? : ) your outlook is awesome, and i imagine that you are too.

lol....thanks for the compliment

Sarah - Good luck to you. May things somehow work out so that your dreams will come true. USC is known to give very large Grants - even when scholarships are not offered. You might be hugely suprised. You surely deserve it. It takes a very very mature person to apologize, and to admit when they have done something wrong. That is huge in my book. Again, good luck to you.
