The number of calories you should eat is directly proportional to a number of factors, including how much you weigh, how tall you are, your frame size, how much you exercise, etc. For example, my mom and I had an evalutation done by our personal trainer. She is much shorter and smaller than I am, and to maintain her current body weight, she should only eat 1250 calories a day. I'm taller and have a larger frame, and to maintain my body weight, I have to eat 1550 calories a day. Still nowhere near 2000. In fact, if I ate 2000 calories a day, I'd probably gain a pound a week. Men generally have larger frames and are more muscular, so they generally have to eat more calories, but it still depends on your weight, size, etc. There is no one diet for everyone.</p>
