bus from ucla to usc

is there a bus that would take me straight from ucla to usc?

www.mta.net

Just to warn you... it's going to take a pretty long time to get there. 45mins+ anyone?

sounds about right.

45mins??? I bet it'll be more than an hour.

I think my friend used to take a bus (plus a lot of other things) to get to her sisters apartment near USC last year and it usually took her 2 hours.

But eh, maybe I'm wrong...The real question is, why do you want to go to USC in the first place???

Was actually curious about this, too. My gf goes to USC so if anyone has a car and is planning to go there occasionally - I'll split the gas costs if I can hitch a ride :).

or we can start a travel group and ride the bus together with whoever needs/wants to go.

I doubt anyone would want to go with you.

WOW. so mean.

+1 lol (+chars)

this is a pretty long bus ride.

It's at least 60 min taking the #20 from UCLA to Hancock Park during rush hour which will get you half-way and doesn't involved any bus changes.

Looking at the MTA map, the fastest way appears to be riding the #720 (go to the Wilshire & Veteran stop to avoid the crowds on Wilshire & Westwood) going east, getting off at the Wilshire & Vermont stop, subsequently riding #754 headed south and getting off on Jefferson & Vermont. That should get you within a few blocks of the campus. If you can find a route taking you to the L.A. Shrine Auditorium that would also suffice since it's within short walking distance of the USC campus.

Buy a day pass, that way you won't have to pay extra in case you miss any of the stops and/or need to ride another bus.The #720 & #754 make only limited stops, approximately every 0.25 miles. These buses can get very crowded so you may not be able get on one immediately 'cause the driver may not make a particular stop or open the doors to let people on 'cause the bus is full.

Big blue bus line 10 is a freeway express. I think it's from Santa Monica directly to downtown via 10 freeway.
