It looks great; has all the pre-med courses built into the curriculum, and supposedly gets anyone in it extremely prepared for MCATs.

Anybody have personal experience with it?

i loved being a human phys major, however that was also because i had already been accepted to an early pathway med program when i changed my major from nutritional sciences to human phys. the only problem i think the human phys major has is that, if you decide not to go to medical school or you don’t get in, you can’t really do much of anything with the degree. you essentially have to go to grad school either way. otherwise, the courses are challenging and great prep for med school, and most of the professors are wonderful.

Well, I am positive, regardless of how difficult pre-med courses may be, and how hard med-school may be, that it is what I want to pursue.

Also, does BU offer something like “automatic” admission to their med-school if you keep up a good GPA?

no, there are early pathway programs: 7-yr med, MMEDIC, ENGMEDIC (with which you must do biomedical eng), etc. the only one you’d be able to apply for would be MMEDIC and that would be in your sophomore year. go to the premed office in the beginning of your freshman year and establish a relationship with them and ask them about the program, as they are the ones who would accept you
