From comments and reviews about BU, some people say that BU’s career department does not do a very great job when helping the graduates to get a job, what do you think about that?

bump~ thanks

anyone knows?

sorry i dont think i can help you out, since im continuing on through more schooling and since the job market this year reflects the economy so there’s really no telling for right now.

I think this is probably because no one uses the career services office. It’s actually quite comprehensive…I mean, they aren’t going to “place” you in a job, that’s your job, not theirs. But they have binders and binders of internships, job offerings, host interviews at the school for different corporations, facilitate job interest exams, help you with your resume and cover letters, etc. I feel like most students don’t take the time to go there, but the resources they have are really quite good.

Also, BU is not a single college and each college has its own programs. If you’re in COM, for example, you are going to have internships, even in Film/TV, and those sometimes relate to programs in other cities / countries.
