bus sticker on ID card

where do i go to get the new school year's bus sticker for our IDs?
and it's free, right?

ty

from <a href=“Transportation Services”>Transportation Services;

[Public Transportation Serving UCSD](<a href=“Transportation Services”>Transportation Services)

i got a question about this too. Is the sticker free or not? I think last year they didn’t charge me but the website states, “Students get unlimited bus and trolley rides for $47 with quarterly bus passes! Purchase passes at Commute Solutions.” However, it also states, “faculty, and students with a free UCSD Bus Zone sticker on their current, valid UC San Diego photo ID card ride free for unlimited stops on these bus routes only.”

So I am confused @_@

What I got from reading the web page is that the sticker on your ID and the quarterly bus pass are two different things. That’s why UCSD states “Transit pass holders should use their passes instead of their campus ID to board.” because UCSD will be charged for every free ride you get using the free sticker. If you use the transit pass, which you have paid $47 for, the ride will not be charged to UCSD.

^ yeah, the sticker on your UCSD ID card and the transit pass are different things. The sticker only gets you free rides on SOME routes/buses and must be presented along with your UCSD ID card when you board. You get the sticker for free just for having a UCSD ID card.
the transit passes, which must be bought, get you free rides anywhere on any bus or trolley in SD. anyone can get a transit pass, no UCSD affiliation required. It isn’t free for UCSD students but it can be bought at a discount
