I'm wondering how long this bus ride takes and how often do the buses come. I have a class on East followed by a class on West 30 minutes later. Is there enough time to make it to the class on west in time? (factoring in potential class delays, weather, bus delays, etc...). Do teachers understand if you are coming from another earlier class on the other campus and may sometimes come a little late? Thanks!

You'll most likely make it on time unless your West class is in Gross Chem or something really far from the bus stop. During the weekdays before 7PM or so they come every 5 minutes at least (usually a LOT faster than that), but there are noticeable times where things clog up. You'll learn real fast when that is, but it's usually at the same time every day (if a huge econ or chem class just let out or something like that).

Just let your professor know the first day that you might be late once in a while. The bus ride is only about 7 or 8 minutes.

At night on the weekends the bus schedule varies from every 20 minutes on weekends (trust me, you'll make that desperate run for the bus at least once this year) to every 10 minutes on weekdays.

30 minutes is enough time to get from Gross Chem (the farthest from the bus-stop probably) to anywhere on East. 8 minutes max from Chem to bus stop, 5 minute wait (max), 10 minute ride, 5 minute walk to anywhere on East. You should have plenty of time.

If its a large class (or even a smaller one) teachers don't really care if you come late unless you interrupt the class. This isn't high school.

you'll make it-- and many times you'll make it with time to spare. professors won't care, just be quiet and move quickly if you walk in late.
