UF (University of Florida) is a better school than FIU (Florida International University) but Finance would be a better choice degree-wise. So a good degree at an average school or an average degree at a good school?
Any reason you wouldn’t be a finance major at UF?
Are you a transfer student? In which case you’re likely be in the “Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BABA) – General Studies” program at UF.
I forgot to mention I am doing it online and unfortunately UF does not offer Finance online.I am a transfer student and I applied for the Fall semester.
Are you an in-state student? If so, UF is much more affordable (since the state mandates that UF can’t charge more than 75% the standard in-state tuition rate).
UF online $129.18 per credit hour (Tuition+Fees)
FIU online $215.94 per credit hour (Tuition+Fees)
For an in-state student, UF’s an easy choice (prestige + cost). However, it is only offering the general business (BSBA) degree. You’ll need to decide if the FIU program is a better fit.
Good Luck!
