Hi, I’m looking at several Ivy Leagues for Business as an undergrad. They all have an art program but the question I have is, is it possible to double major in both Business and Art? I think they would be in two different schools and I don’t know how many schools encourage a dual degree in two separate fields…
Also I don’t know if I should major in Art. Should I major in business and minor in art, and later on do an MBA for what I want to pursue? I’m international so this is totally new to me, despite studying in a US school, and I have no idea what the system here is like.
Most Ivy League universities do not have undergraduate business majors. The only one who has one is Penn, at the Wharton School. Cornell has applied economics and management - which is pretty close - and they have a business minor.
Columbia has the undergraduate business concentration (kind of like a minor, but it’s a special program you have to apply for as a sophomore). Brown has a concentration in business, entrepreneurship, and organizations, but it is not a major. Dartmouth has no major, but you can take some undergraduate business classes at Tuck.
Even at schools where there are two separate schools, you will probably be able to double major across schools - I’m pretty sure Wharton has a BA program explicitly for students who want to double major in the arts & sciences.
