I am very interested in majoring in business (particularly management entrepreneurship) and minoring in theology...

The thing is, I probably won't have too much AP credit coming into ND and I don't want to be extremely busy at ND because I want to get involved in some things outside of academics.

So, i guess my questions are:
1) Are you even allowed to minor in theology if you are majoring in something in Mendoza or is that not allowed?
2) Would it be possible given what else I want to do?

Also, if anybody has followed either of these tracks, please let me know how they are.

For the business school, sophomore year is pretty cluttered and freshman year will be cluttered for you as well, since you don't have much AP credit. It would be really tight for the scheduling due to the business school requirements, but there is no other reason why it wouldn't be able to work. Minoring in Theology is a definite possibility for a Business major, you just need to plan accordingly.

If management entrepreneurship is only 25.5 credits and theo-minor is 15 you should be able to pull that off easy. If your ambitious and work the double count the right way you could get the supplementary major probably.

thanks everyone... bpayne1 and danbrenn, you make it seem easier to attain than i was first thinking. even considering that i probably will have very little to no AP credit (english and maybe psychology), you still think it would be pretty attainable without studying all day long?

The length of study doesn't have anything to do with it. It is the commitment to scheduling your classes in the right way. If you have to overload then you do that junior or senior year. If you have to take 3 theology classes in one semester then that is what you do. But only if you enjoy it and are learning. You're not trying to just get a piece of paper, you genuinely love the discipline- which would make me assume that 3 theology classes in one semester wouldn't turn you off. I don't have all the answers, but I am willing to guarantee that it is doable in four years. Just inform your FYS advisor that that is your goal and she/he will get you going in the right direction.
