Business colleges in US

Hi,
I am looking for good business schools/ management course in marketing & sales in US, please suggest some. Have three years of experience with own established business in field of sales with global & Indian firms. In undergraduate i could only managed to score 56% in Mechanical Engineering. Please suggest some good colleges where i get accepted.

@MohitRaghuvanshi There are tons of business schools in the US, so it would be impossible to suggest any in particular given how little info you have provided.

Also, have you taken the GMAT or GRE (usually req’d for business school admission)? Do you have letters of recommendation? Have you taken any business-related courses?

IU-Bloomington has a lot of Indians and the Kelly School of Business is very well respected.

@MITer94 Thanks for your suggestions. And no i have not taken GRE or GMAT yet though i have taken TOEFL already with 80/120.Further for letters of recommendation, i can request to firms whom i have provided services. In addition to that i am from engineering background so i have not taken any business courses. Though almost all reputed US universities require GMAT score but sometimes it can waived off based on your professional experience. is it true? Also i am not in touch with studies from last three years & it might take some time to get on track again. Please suggest shall i go for GMAT or look for colleges where it is not required.

@MohitRaghuvanshi I suggest working on your English and retaking the TOEFL. From what I’ve checked at least, many business schools that require the TOEFL from int’l applicants require or recommend a score of at least 100-105 iBT. This includes the Kelley School of Business. TOEFL cutoffs are usually strict since English proficiency is required.

There are some MBA programs that don’t require the GMAT or GRE, but you should look this up yourself.

For letters of recommendation, it depends - sometimes you will need at least one LoR from a professor at the university you attended.

Once again thanks for your valuable advice. Also i have done some research on management programs offered by US & Canadian colleges, George Brown College, Toronto, is one of them but there are not so good reviews about it. it will be very helpful to me if you can advice me regarding that.

Hello,

Lehigh University’s College of Business and Economics just announced that they are launching a one-year MBA program. It’s a full-time program “geared toward career changers” and those who want to shift their focus in career on business. More information can be found at http://■■■■■■/1QJec7q

Hope this helps.

@MohitRaghuvanshi I’m not knowledgeable on business colleges in general. But there are many factors to take into account, including your GPA and courses taken, GRE/GMAT score (however some don’t require them), letters of recommendation, prestige, location, size, how much you can afford, etc. Online “reviews” probably isn’t the most predictive factor.
