Is it okay to major in business undergrad, before med school, if you fulfill all the medical school requirements (classes, ECs, volunteering, community service, etc.)? Would this just be too difficult at a top school? How would med schools view this?

Hey, why not? i've known people with art and music majors who've gotten into med-schools. So why would a business degree be any different?

I would actually argue that it would probably be easier than majoring in a natural science at a top school, and certainly easier than majoring in engineering at a top school.

Again, if med-schools are admitting art and music majors, then I don't see why they would view business degrees negatively.

Im in the same boat, I have a business degree, and am "considering" med school. I have to go back to scool and finish the 10 or so pre-req classes and take mcats. However, I wanted to know are other EC's such as volunteering considered almost mandated requirements to get into med school? If so, what other unwritten req's might I face before applying to med schools. I do currently volunteer for diff organizations.

Med schools will look at your GPA (science and overall), MCAT, ECs (medically related typically, although I've heard that it's also important to be dedicated to other activities), and letters of recommendations. The interview is also a factor in admissions.
