Hello, I am an 18 year college freshman possibly interested in business. At my school, there’s a degree called “Management with a concentration on property and real estate”. I was wondering what would be a good double major to strengthen my chances of getting a job. Thank you.
Finance would probably be a good choice.
Real Estate Management would probably coincide most with Finance or Marketing depending on what career you are looking to pursue.
Absolutely no need to make a decision now. In fact IMO it would be unwise to decide now.
I’d suggest you first start classes in your expected major and be sure you like it and want to follow that path. At the same time take some intro classes in other business disciplines (which will be required as part of a business core curriculum). See where your interests and aptitudes lie. Then you can talk to professors you have in the department of your major and visit career placement at your school to1) get ideas of the type of job you are interested in that field and 2) get their input based on what route successful students in that program took in the past.
