Business Econ + Accounting Minor?

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I was accepted as Pre-Business Economics major, and I'm planning to stick with it. However, recently I met a friend who is currently a UCLA student and he said it's good to minor in Accounting if my major is Business Economics. It was a little surprising because from what I heard Business Economics is pretty much theoretical economics + accounting classes. </p>

<p>Is it worth it to minor in Accounting? How do I apply?</p>

<p>He said it’s good to minor in accouting since you only have to take 4 extra classes in addition to the major (where as most minors range from 8-11 classes). </p>

<p>You apply after you have finished the pre-reqs, and it’s very competitive - I beileve the average GPA is like 3.6 or something.</p>
