Hello all. I'm applying to some higher tier undergraduate business schools, and I would like to know some other business related Extra Curriculars I could partake in as a high schooler. I founded the FBLA chapter at my school, and I have a summer internship at a natural gas investment firm. What else can I do to stand out? Many people look at my EC's and say they aren't very business centered. I mean, what can a high schooler do for "business EC's" other than what I've done? Any responses would be appreciated.

Thanks

Um… Start a business? Herp derp. Win business competitions?

be passionate in whatever. other than fbla, there arent that many business opportunities lying out for you. you habve to improvise and be creative

There isn’t a great deal of things available to a high school student that can be considered “business EC’s” - but I dont know how much that matters. Do what you enjoy doing. If you’re applying yourself to your extracurricular activities and have good enough grades, you’ll be fine. Consider getting a paid job though if you don’t already. Some people have this weird stigma that a paid job isn’t a great EC because its paid but holding a job for a long period of time shows great skills that business people need.
