Business major at UCLA?

Hello!
I am a freshman undergrad at UCLA currently in pre-bio. I’ve been considering into switching into a business major; however, I noticed that UCLA does not provide a specific major for business (the closest one I saw was business economics, but I read that major focuses more on economics rather than the other aspects of business such as marketing, finance, etc,)

Could anyone help with which major in UCLA is suited best for someone who is possibly interested in pursuing an MBA?
Thanks!

I am sure you can find an advisor at UCLA whom can steer you in the right direction. You pay enough for tuition, so take advantage of the services.

You’re right, an advisor would know best for these types of questions haha. Thanks!

You don’t need an undergrad business major to do an MBA. Just make sure you do a major where you’ll take a decent amount of math (even 2-3 quarters is probably enough), and then get a good job out of undergrad. You can then go back for the MBA 3-5 years later if you still want to.

I did my MBA at UCLA and less than half of my class did their undergrad in business or finance.

Econ or Biz Econ would be just fine for someone who might want to do an MBA in the future, or possibly get a job in banking or consulting out of college.

The math mentioned above should be calculus.
