What are the number of hours to study/day?

I told glucose101 on another board that s/he should ask these questions here.

You guys need to answer or my advice will look bad :)

i don't think anybody would want to answer those questions...

not to be rude or anything, but wow.

jL why would you WANT to answer a questoin in any circumstances? Only if you want to help someone. what are you talking about? they aren't bad questions. You WANT to post something up that doesn't help anyone but not something that does...

I don't really understand what you trying to say but there is no reason to put down someone's questions.

sorry. i guess you should answer the questions then.

What does a Business major do?
Studies business concepts, history, practice, etc.

A lot of curriculum in today's schools is centered around communication and collaboration--two very important skills in the job market. That is to say you will write decision analysis papers and do group projects/presentations a lot. Some schools may not do it this way and instead focus on memorizing facts and text books, but my school tries to make business an active, experiential learning process.

How are they graded?

Grading is all based on how well you do according to your instructor and vs. the rest of the class... If you are exceptional at communicating, presenting, and leading a team of peers, you will be graded well, hopefully. Oh, and solving problems effectively and logically.

What are the number of hours to study/day?
Depends on your area of specialization, I'd say:

Management: 3 hours a day

Marketing: 2 hours a day

Finance: 1/2 hour a day

Accounting: 9 hours a day (accounting is the best and hardest major in business)

LOL, the hours I put are just me mocking the weaker business majors--I'm an accounting major, can you tell?

Hours/day is not something I would be able to actually answer because it depends on the student

why only 1/2 hour a day for finance

It's a joke.... since finance and accounting are "rival" or "complimentary" majors--depending on how you look at it--I was making finance out to be easier as a mocking gesture.

what about the infamous communication subfield?

0 hours / day for study time =)

Finance: 1/2 hour a day

Is finance that easy? (never mind) Then why the hell is Wharton's and NYU Stern's avg GPAs like in the sub-3 range? (~2.8, 2.7 respectively)

I'm planning to do finance at NYU....if I can get into Stern....Seriously, how much do finance majors study?
