Business recruiting Bing v. Buff

<p>I am in a predicament. I'm an accounting major, I attended nassau community college for my freshman year. I earned a 3.3 my first semester and a 3.69 my second, my overall for the year is a 3.5. I was accepted at Buffalo but not at Binghamton. Now I am stuck with the decision of going to buffalo or staying home one more semester and hopefully getting into binghamton for the spring semester. My main concern is the recruitment at each college. From talking to friends from both schools, I'm under the impression that many more student get offers and better offers coming out of binghamton than students coming out of buffalo. I've been told most of the recruiting at buffalo is for more local companies and the recruiting at binghamton is from all the big city companies. </p>

<p>What can anyone tell me bout what they have heard, experienced or anything about the differences in job recruitment coming out of either college?</p>

<p>I know that IBM has its roots in Binghamton, so often goes to Bing to find new recruits every year. Other than that, I can’t tell you anything really specific, being a Harpur student and not a SOM student. But I DO know that we have a stellar SOM school, and if you email some admissions officer over there, maybe they’ll be able to give you more concrete info!</p>
