For me, the WSA wasn’t as scary as I thought. I got 4.5 average. If you can write well, you are good. Just make sure to practice before taking it. The most important thing you have to practice is timing - 90 minutes isn’t a lot for two essays. So make sure you can complete both of them on time. The next thing is organization - somebody who reads and grades dozens of essays per day wants to get your point easily. Make sure you can make an outline (they say that if you don’t have your essay completed, they will look at the outline to decide on the grade).

For the WSA, try writing short, simple and to the point as much as possible. It’s not like on the SAT essay section where you can get away with putting in fluff and wordiness. Keep it simple, clear as possible without being simpler is my advice.

@UW2014 - My daughter is hoping to get into Foster as a freshman direct admit. Do you like Foster so far? Did you look at any other business schools and, if so, which ones? Why did you decide to apply to Foster? Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.
