Hello,

I am a rising junior who has just decided to transfer to another college. I had a 4.0 during two years at my last college, and would like to eventually pursue a joint JD/MBA (if possible) degree.

  1. What GPA/GMAT/work experience is expected of candidates who apply to both a top business program program, and will the committee consider where I completed my undergraduate degree?
  2. Depending on the program, would the business school admissions committee consider both my previous GPA and whatever GPA I will receive at my current college?

Are you transferring from a lower regarded school to a higher regarded school or vice versa?

Transferring from lower regarded to higher (USNWR top 200 to Yale College).

Top programs want at least a 700 GMAT. GPA threshold depends on the major (e.g. Engineering can be lower), the school and the number of years of experience to some degree. Yes, they will consider all your GPAs.
