business schools for an undergrad

what are the best undergraduate business schools on the eastern coast for a kid with a 3.5 gpa and a 1300 sat. ??? preferrably in state of MD, NY, VA, NC,SC, and new england area ?? thanks everyone!

maybe UNC Chapel Hill, Penn State, U Maryland, George Washington, U. South Carolina Columbia, Syracuse, Boston U, Northeastern

babson is good

UPenn's Wharton School is excellent.
UC Berkeley's Haas is also great.

3.5/1300--I don't think either of those is in the cards.

True. Plus deadline is passed for both.

1300 is possible though; it's not just SAT scores.

so its out of the question for upenn wharton ???

check out babson, bentley, bu

The 25th-75th SAT percentile at U Penn is 1330-1510. 25% of U Penn students score below 1330. No it is not out of the question. Other factors can compensate for SAT. 1300 is not bad, but it is in the low range for U Penn. U Penn would be a good reach school for you.

Wharton is harder to get into than Penn liberal arts.

If you're a junior, you still can take the new SAT Is and improve your score.

Why not west coast? As I alluded to earlier, Haas is a great business school. Only problem is that you're out-of-state which hurts you.

Georgetown's McDonough School of Business is decent for East coast. It's not Wharton, but it's pretty good.

You could always got to graduate school and get your M.B.A.; it's better to diversify yourself, and not remain too concentrated in one area.

For example: my friend is pre-med; he's majoring in biochem (typical) but also philosophy.

Or like me: I'm majoring in political science and Asian American Studies for undergrad yeras; but when I do go to law school, I'll be doing my J.D. and M.B.A. in three years.

Major in economics or political economy, then go on to grad school.

I'd really check out the 3 B's Bentley, BU and Babson. Each as a unique feel and attribute to it and are great matches for your stats.

Bentley is a boutique business school that stresses technology and business. They have by far the most technologically advanced business curriculum in the country. It is similar to Babson but a bit easier to get into and the people there are more diverse and seem to be a bit less snobby.

Babson is another boutique business school. It stresses entrepreneurship. It has consistintly been ranked #1 in that category for I think 8 straight years now and offers a hands on curriculum

BU's School of Management or SMG is also great. They stress the management of business. It comes along with being right in the hear of the Boston.

You can't go wrong with either one and they all have great reputations in Boston and in New England. With your stats you will be a solid lock for all of them.

thanks alot everyone. i appreciate your help.
