Business Schools

Hi! I am a high school senior and I am currently looking to apply to schools for business, particularly for marketing. I have at 3.5 unweighted gpa (My school doesn’t weigh) and a 26 on the ACT’s (I am a HORRIBLE test taker). I will be graduating from one of the top five schools in the US and I am taking 3 AP Classes and 1 IB (2 year) class this year. Here are some of the schools I am looking at:

NYU (Stern…which may be a stretch)
Fordham Lincoln Center
Baruch (Maybe Honors program)
Boston University
Northeastern
The New School

I wanted to know what the probability of me getting into these school is.

I also dance professionally since the age of 11 and dance with one of the leading dance companies in NYC. I train about 35 hours a week at dance and have been doing it for 15 years. I have a a paid internship with a 6 million dollar startup company working in Marketing and Social Media. I was the marketing manager/social media coordinator for a student short film I co-produced which raised over $900. I have an internship at Broadway Dance Center in NYC working in Marketing and Public Relations. Lastly, I am the Marketing and Advertising coordinator for my schools student theater company. Given all the extra things that I do, does this increase my chances of being accepted into these schools although my gpa is low?

To be honest I think most of these schools are going to reaches for you except the New School

Hard to predict. You have an interesting background which could be appealing but the low ACT might hurt.

I could take them again one more time…Do you think that would help me be a stronger candidate?
