<p>Okay, this is my first post on CC, so bear with me.</p>
<p>I am a high school senior. I applied to a good number of schools I was accepted to NYU Stern School of Business (well, I am pretty sure I was accepted, I got that invitation thing to University Day) as well as a number of prestigious liberal arts colleges. </p>
<p>I have two questions.</p>
<li><p>What are the merits of attending an undergraduate business program, and what are the merits of a degree in economics?</p></li>
<li><p>I have always loved mathematics (especially Calculus believe it or not!) so Im thinking finance might be a good option for me (assuming I do in fact go to NYU-Stern). I am quite sure I do not want to work on the floor of the stock exchange, so
what do people with a degree in finance do? I looked at a good number of the old posts, and I read a lot about investment banking. I learned about the 90+ hours per week that I-Bankers work as well as the monetary compensation. What do investment bankers (and everyone else who has a degree in finance) do all day? I have attempted to research this online, but I came across very limited information.</p></li>

<p>Any help concerning the two questions I have would be greatly appreciated. </p>
