Since I can't make up my mind between Business and Economics, I've decided that Business is too general a degree and not academic enough (I plan to go to grad school hopefully. I don't know if this is the best way to put it but you can be a businessman without a business degree but you can't be an economist without an economics degree. Does my reasoning sound right or should I go for Business?

No.

Take a little of each. You don’t have to pick a major right away. Jr. year pick what you like the most.

Oops, i think i forgot to mention that I’m not enrolling in a US university. For my country(Singapore), you need to decide on a major even before enrolling into university. But i have plans to go to grad school (although i’m not 100% sure but im very interested in the idea of going to grad school in the US). Will a Econs undergrad major allow me to pursue International Relations/ Public Policy grad schools in US? I would also like to add that Econs degrees in my country are either in BA or Bsocsci.

if you are from sing i suggest both or econs, because you will easily cruise if you take BBA in a mid tier uni. It all depends on where you are going, which a levels you took and what you plan to do.

oops i didnt read your message. Take BA please and not socsi. And if there’s something like economics and finance that would be the best option.

Hi there, may I know why you suggested BA over BSocSci
