I am currently a senior in high school and have already been accepted into Wingate. Planning on a pharm route but in doing some research online, I’ve found a lot of bad things about pharmacy. My parents have told me the following about it; good pay, 6 years, minimal stress, minimal responsibility. All my research online counters every single one of these reasons except the pay and the years involved. Pharmacists have increased stress due to the responsibility of administering the right dosage and right drug. I believe and can handle great amounts of stress but not ones that pertain to lawsuits and such. I have been looking into a business degree for a bit and have found a healthcare administrator to be something I could possibly do. I want a health profession but I’m not sure which one? On a side note, if I decide pharmacy and I cannot handle the first 2 years of undergrad study, can I just obtain a chemistry degree in 4 years instead? Please help
