is the business program at this school good?
what types do they offer? (finance, accounting, ect.)

how hard would a transfer be able to get in? i'm currently at a 4 year, but thinking of going back to CC and then applying for UCI. what are the stats to get into the UCI business?

if you want the programs, do some research and look it up (google: business school UCI)

as for transferring, its pretty hard from a CC, just cause theres a limited number of spots. its probably GPA dependent. check online for this stuff before asking people to look it up for you.
and the business program is fine. all business school essentially teach you the same stuff. im not sure how "good" or "bad" it is, but UCI cannot afford to open a new school of business and what not and have it be sub-par.

no, i looked this up but i wasn't sure because their business just opened up to freshmen this year and i wasn't sure how legit it was. i've heard that the school was good, but i've heard that going to a state school would be better. and i think they do go by GPA but i want to know a good range. i mean it would be hard to tell since they dont even do transfers until 2010.

Yeah, it's brand new so there's no real way to gauge how successful it will end up being. I'm a little upset that, given my timing, I'd have to take a year off from school before being able to transfer there (my plan is to transfer in '09).

Anyone know of the chances of this being able to happen?:

Freshman year at community college
Sophomore year at community college
Spending a year working and whatnot
Transfer into junior year at UCI
Senior year at UCI

I don't mean to hijack your thread, sorry. >_<

I'm no expert on transfer matters, but the 1-year gap will likely require a good explanation in your transfer application. Is it financially feasible for you to transfer at first possible opportunity, and just take a bunch of electives for a year (or even just attend under part-time status? I'll realize this may have FA eligibility implications.)
