Buying AP study guides for next year now @ discount?

Hello all.

I'm taking 4 (maybe, maybe, maybe 5) AP classes next year and plan to take the AP exam in all of them at the end of the year. If you're curious, the classes are:

AP European History
AP English
AP Calculus AB
AP Physics B
(AP Biology) <- possibly

My question is: Since most places have their study guides on sale (about $10, compared to usual $20), would it be a good idea to go ahead and purchase the books I will need to use next year right now? How much do editions change year-to-year? Will having a slightly older edition of the study guides have a negative impact when I take the exams?

Thanks in advance for the help.

If money is an issue for you then i would just buy them now. usually tests dont change, but occasionally they do (i.e. ap chem)..

ive never seen a "study guide" sale? what stores?

I agree: buy them now. Also like inside used book stores like Half price to see if some used test prep books exist. can save a lot buying used.
