Would buying textbooks for fall right now be a good choice? I am thinking the prices will go up on online sites like half and amazon once school starts. Or should I wait till cheaper books appear?

I am not trying to get a head start or anything. Just want to save some money. =]

Are textbooks even out yet? There’s no link on myucla or anything.

I think it’s a good idea. I bought some of my books already. Prices will start to go up soon because of schools on the semester system. Some of the classes already have the books listed, but sometimes the professors change the assigned book.

All of my classes already have books listed. It’s on URSA

Oh professors do change books? How often does that happen?

Hm I just see that you can pick your class on the ucla textbook website, but theres no option to like click textbooks on ursa or myucla and it does it automatically for you like there used to be.

Looks like I’ll have to do it the old fashioned way lol.

[UCLA STORE: Lobby](http://www.uclaestore.com/ucla/textbook_student.asp?ref=ucla)

that will tell you all the textbooks you need for the quarter. Just enter your ID, last name, and “Fall 09”

I just clicked on Study List in URSA. There is a link on Study List titled “show your textbooks for next quarter” or something like that. It should take you to the ucla store with your textbooks listed.

Are any of you engineering or physical science majors? I’m trying to get rid of my Chem 20A/20B book, my math 32A/32B book, my math 33A linear algebra book, and my chem 30A/30B/pushing electrons book. I also have all of the books for Classics 10.

Do you have Math 31B book? I will be taking the entire Math 30 series, but I don’t think I should buy 32a/b books already…

I ordered three books for one class from amazon already. Thank God, because one is textbook size at 600 pages and another is in tiiiiny font at 280. The third one about to arrive apparently weighs two pounds. Woooo.
