What kind of 31-series Calculus book is 1500 pages?

i think the 1500 page red Calc includes both single variable and multi so i assume it covers 31 and 32 series. me and socalgirl got the 900 page text, which is also red, but is ONLY single variable. :(

SoCalGal87: ya hopefully we can sell it back or smokething and buy the 1500 page one.

i could get the ISBN for both version but its late and i need to go to bed.

If I'm only planning to take the single variable series (32 series is multi-variable right?), should I just stick with the book I have now? Are the problems still the same? I'm only taking this math class because I'm considering double-majoring in Economics and Political Science. For the economics pre-requisites, we only need to take Math 31A and Math 31B.

Do you guys think I could buy an international version of a textbook and get away with it? I live in Singapore, and they're so much cheaper. Will the insides be exactly the same?

wow you live in singapore and will be coming to UCLA?.. wow that's quite a journey. hey how much are the bose quiet comfort 2 noise cancelling headphones there? haha can you check cuz i just bought mine for 323.67 and am wondering if it's a dramatic difference with over there. thanks =).

heheh, i have the same pair, unfortunately they were a gift so i'm not quite sure about the price. i doubt its significantly cheaper...

isn't the calculus book 1300 pages (the one w/ both single and multivar)

Doesn't 31A and 31B only require the single variable calculus book? Are any chapters from the multivariable section covered in the class?

yes the 1300 one has both single and multivariable. like i said, i bought mine b4 i knew the ISBN trick. its ok, i will sell it and buy the 1300 later on. the price gap between the two are negligible anyways.

31s are single while 32 are multi i believe.
