Buying Textbooks. . . Help?

So I want to buy my textbooks from half.com, not the student store, but every book has many versions of it and I do not know which ones to buy. Also, my telebears doesn't tell me which edition, authors, etc. What should I do?

cross reference with ned's bookstore... they usually have a picture of the book, publishing yr, or edition that should usually be enough to narrow it down

Check Ned's or the Cal Student Store online for edition #s and authors. If you still can't find the information, e-mail the professor or GSI.

Has anyone ever been to the ASUC Bookswap?

Are there lots of people and can you usually find the books you need there?

Thanx for the help guys, much appreciated ;)

he just rebooted / updated the website, so some of the listings may be showing as $999.99 or something like that. just email the owner to ask for price in that case.

Use the student store's website rather than the link through telebears. Oftentimes when you do the search, the edition # will show up. If not, I go to the store to see what the book looks like and note the edition number before ordering online.
