"By the end of Spring Semester"

From the CC UC Tranfer FAQ:
"4.What happens if I don't complete all my major prereq's by fall?
You will not be affected. As long as you complete your prereq's by spring before you transfer you'll be fine. Some uc's will even let you complete some classes during the summer. But this depends on the school's policy."

^Is this really true? Lets say an engineering student still needs to complete linear algebra/calc 3 and the last physics courses in the spring before transfering. Won't they have a signifigantly lower chance of transfer admission than a student who has all prereqs completed by the end of fall?

no, just complete it by spring…

Even for Cal/UCLA? I don’t know why I have such a hard time accepting this. It just seems like it could be something that is considered. Sorry if it’s a dumb question

Why wouldn’t it be true? All they care about is you complete the classes before you transfer. Fail to do so and they will rescind you, so they are risking nothing in allowing you to do so in the spring. Even if you take the classes in the fall, they won’t know your grades before they make a decision so your grades in the classes aren’t a factor in the admission decision.
