So far, it looks like I will end up with a C in AP Lit as a senior. I have a 75 in the class, so I really would need a lot of effort and luck to bring it to a B, but there is still a chance. However, if I do get a C, how will this hurt my application? I'm applying mainly to UCs and Cal Poly, along with USC, Santa Clara U, and Boston U. Also, I have never received a C during my high school years, which might hurt me even more.

Our AP Lit class is extremely tough as well, but I have no clue whether admissions readers will be aware of that.

Thanks!

I am going through the same exact thing! I have the same question, so I’m not exactly sure, but if you have good grades in all your classes I think you will be ok. Also, seeing that it’s an AP class, I don’t think it should be as big as a deal since it’s a very advanced class, versus getting a C in an easy class like health. I think if you’ve done good in all your classes throughout high school like you said, you’ll be fine! Colleges understand the difficulty of AP classes and that sometimes a student slips up. I wouldn’t stress out top much, all you can do is try your best. Good luck! :)
