Hey guy's I made a C in AP Psychology for the second semester (79). Is this a huge red flag for an admissions officer? My UW GPA is otherwise a 3.657 and my Weighted is 4.514.

Was it second semester junior year? That’s… kinda bad. lol. Otherwise your GPA is good anyway so I dunno.

its never good to have a c on the transcript but you should apply anyway. the worst they can say is no, and its not like you slack in your classes (just from looking at your gpa).

When I visited they said that they look for reasons to admit you - not reasons to not admit you. They don’t pick apart applications. They said getting a 1600 on the SAT isn’t good enough (they had turned down like 10 - 20 people the previous year with 1600’s) and that the SAT score, for example, didn’t make or break you. It’s a holistic thing, I guess. I’d strongly recommend visiting before applying - I’ve never had so much insight into how a college admits students, mind you, I’ve probably visited 10 or so.

no that is not true. i got a c in my math class sophomore year and got in last year. i

i got in w multiple Cs. not a huge deal at all as long as its in a very challenging course.
