CA resident transferring from private top 20 to UC?

<p>Do I have better chances of transferring to Cal or LA as a 3rd year if I go to a top 20 rather than applying as a UC to UC transfer?</p>

<p>I am a california resident and I decided that I'd rather be in CA rather than in the east coast.</p>

<p>Cal maybe, LA no. LA treats UC and CC transfers the same, which get priority. You’d do better for both by going to a CC honestly.</p>
