California Universities?

I would like to go to UCLA or UC-Berkeley, Im thinking about going to Pacific Union College in Angwin,CA for 2 years and then transfering to one universities that I mentioned for my junior year, will this be possible from Pacific Union College? Will i have a better chance of being accepted than a community college student:)

ccc students get first priority.

no... california community college students get first priority, then university students, and then out of state

Yeah, you would have no priority. First community college students, then cal states and UCs.......then you (if you went to pacific).

Hey, I'll just wanna point this out:
In California, we have 2 systems of universities:
California State University (Cal State)
University of California (UC)

Priority is given EQUALLY to community college students and UC transfers; Cal state students do not have much priority!

"Priority is given EQUALLY to community college students and UC transfers; Cal state students do not have much priority!"

WRONG. Absolutely wrong. Sorry, Kevin. California community college students are given first priority (as they do not attend a university); then comes UC and cal states.

Absolutely wrong... ?
Please show me your evidence that you are absolutely right!

http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/transfer.html

"While UC gives California community college students first priority over other transfer applicants, the University also accepts those from four-year institutions. In addition, it's possible to transfer from one UC campus to another. A student who has graduated from high school and has enrolled in a regular session at another college or university is considered a transfer student."

yeah it goes CCC then all other schools in california, i believe. Where did you find out that CSU's get priority over UC's?

There has been a lot of confusion over whether CSU gets priority over intercampus. I'd like to say it depends on the college, etc., but i don't know.

It's quite clear that community college students have first priority however.

I know a lot of people who got in from UC to UC w/ substantially lower grades than ccc transfers.

that's nice to hear =)

Well...transfers from UC have less priority than the ones in CC?

Are you kidding kevin?

"While UC gives California community college students first priority over other transfer applicants..."

YES!

I remember that when I was looking for the information somewhere in the UC website; it stated that they have equal priority... for realz but anyways forget it...

If you can provide conflicting information, please do so. Otherwise, you were mistaken.

gabe is right. ccc have first priority over everyone else.

Alright... probably i'm mistaken; by now, the concensus is that CC students have the first priority over all other students to transfer to UCs...

If CC students have priority, that will be a good news for me because i'm one of those CC students...Are you all CC students hoping to transfer to UCs?

It doesn't matter what the consensus; it matters what is right, and it is right, per the official source.

There may be a significant amount who HOPE to transfer to UCs but in the end a very small minority do. Many more transfer to cal states or don't transfer or wh atever.

"It doesn't matter what the consensus; it matters what is right, and it is right, per the official source."

Alright buddy... :D peace!
