Has the menu changed at all? Last I remember, all there was to eat were hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, nachoes, and that kind of junk. Anyone know where I can find a menu of what they serve now?

What cafeteria are you talking about? CMU has a ton of different places to eat on campus, one of the few things that makes up for the food being so lackluster.

yeah hasuchObe, sounds like you may be in some confusion/are thinking of a different college.

But to answer your question:

Eating Locations - Carnegie Mellon Dining Services

I'm asking for what kind of food they offer for people with meal plans... aka, a card with x number of swipes.

Each of the different locations on highereducation's link includes a Meal Block menu which will show what you can get with one swipe. They vary widely so there's no quick answer. There are certainly healthy options (salad bar, for example).

Are these same places offered in the summer time? My brother is going to their precollege program in the summer and I dont want him to get stuck with the same crap I got stuck with. If i remember correctly, only there was only 1 dining area that allowed swipes, the rest you had to pay for.

Every place on campus that has food allows you to use your meal blocks there, though I don't know if they run on the same system over the summer.

I know Newell-Simon is still open since I'd go there occasionally when I worked there. Posner Hall's sandwich place should also be open all the time. I don't think the Underground underneath Morewood would close, since they house summer students there. The only places I could see running shorter hours are a couple of places in the UC, but since I never ate there over the summer, I can't comment as to what's opened/closed (not to mention I haven't eaten there since they forced The O off of campus).
