Cal Grant

Hey guys,
When I applied for FASFA I provided four universities (UCI, UCSC, UCSD, and Cal Poly). I was recently notified that I had received a cal grant. On the "California Aid Report" section of the site it shows the amount of the cal grant for each school. However, only three schools show up (UCI, UCSC, and UCSD). Does this mean that I will not receive financial aid if I choose to attend Cal Poly? Should I contact Cal Poly, CSAC, or anyone? Am I supposed to wait for Cal Poly's report since it is not a UC?

thanks!

I’m not sure why Cal poly isn’t listed on California aid report but I do know that you will receive aid if you choose to attend Cal poly as the qualifying for a Cal grant for a uc is the same requirements for csu. The Cal grant amount though for a csu is a lower amount since tuition is lower than a uc.

thanks for your reply! I emailed CSAC about it.

“CSAC can only list the first three eligible California schools on your California Aid Report (CAR). When considering students for Cal Grant, we will use the first eligible California school listed on your FAFSA and if you are awarded, we will forward your Cal Grant information to that school. Once you have made your final decision regarding which school you will attend for the 2012-13 academic year, you may request a school change.”

hope this helps anyone else with similar questions.
