I received an email saying I’m missing a certified GPA from my school. But I already sent in my SAT scores (the viable alternative). Anyone in a similar situation? What should I do?
Since when are SAT scores a “viable alternative”? Please explain.
Okay, got it, test scores can be submitted in lieu of GPA in certain circumstances - I didn’t know that!
So, first question - did you submit the GPA verification form with the test score? It appears that the form is required, probably to identify you.
If you did, and you still received an email saying that your GPA is missing, I’d suggest giving the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) a call: (888) CA GRANT (888-224-7268).
Yes, I did both
Well, what did the CSAC rep say when you called?
I’m assuming you don’t have proof of submission, so what did they suggest you do?
I think I got it sorted out. Apparently, if I submit a paper version (my mail), it takes 6-8 weeks… Normally, schools will help students submit their GPA electronically.
Glad to hear that it appears to be worked out. Thanks for coming back to let us know!
