Okay im getting the calgrant but i don't see it in my efan, is it suppose to say cal grant or does it go under another category!?!?

Isn't there no money for Cal Grants yet cause of the budget? I heard my mother talking about it but I wasn't paying full attention. I think the universities are still needing to decide what they're going to do about that.

Though it looks like they might be passing the budget tomorrow, so hopefully the funds will be back for the Cal Grants...

^Really? I'm so out of touch with the news since band camp started. BUSY!!!

....They didn't pass the budget. Argh. I say we lock them all in a room with sharp weaponry and the one that survives gets their version of the budget passed (of course this will probably be Arnie). Efficiency +5. Reusability of politicians - X number of legislatures we have.

I'm not sure how the budget crisis is affecting the Cal Grants at this time. My Cal Grant was disbursed on Monday, so they must still have some money to pay them.

Good. Glad to hear that.

The California State Budget was signed 9-23-2008. Electronic funds transfers (EFT)'s from the Commision were 1st available to schools 10-6-08. Students will be on their schools Cal Grant roster with an "eligible" status. Each school financial aid department will have their own processing schedules and possibly many thousands of students to process. Check with your financial aid advisor to see when they will be ready for you. Also check your "WebGants for Students" account online to see if you have any holds to clear, such a "Graduation Date Confirmation" or "Transfer Entitlement Confirmation".
