Cal Housing - "Can you see the Application" list

3.82 Honors, English, A+ and A- in cal classes, TAP, tons of ec's blah blah

I'm in the same boat as you davisengineer, the only thing that changed though was the message at the bottom of app. They took away my EOP lol

Verdet,

You CAN'T see it?

davisengineer: post your stats in the thread :P

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=337338

Regarding the cal housing application site:

I went to summer school and could always see the application

HOWEVER

As of today, It has completly populated my updated information that I provided on my transfer application (new home address, e-mail address, etc..)

I am not advocating this means anything, but it certainly has gotten me excited. Especially since there are people who have stats that merit acceptance who can now see the application.

oh davisengineer if your info is still identical.. ignore my comment

eh. I can see the cal housing app now also. $20 rofl. I aint going to cal. but lets see what kind of aid package they offer me.

I have a feeling I am going to be rejected from cal. Partly because of my student id number. Through out my lifetime, I was always assigned easy to remember student id numbers. Usually like the same 3 numbers repeated throughout an entire sequence such as 00322939 or something of that nature. my cal id is 6 different numbers.

I'm interested in knowing if there are any people who COULD see it but can't anymore.

I need to ask my friend to check.

verdet...since you went to summer classes at CAL did you get a CAL 1 card?

Yeah of course.. You have to get one.. You cant get anywhere without it (bus, library, gym etc)

Worst picture ever, I look scary... But I am still proud of that thing and hold onto it in hopes that I will become an actual student :)

has it been reactivated? What I mean is...can you put money into the debit account now?

Damn good idea, let me try....

I kinda doubt it though because, I would assume that works of "enrollment status" and when I log into Bear Facts, it says not registered.

Just checked and no because I am not in the Cal Net directory which makes sense. I was pulled from there right after summer school when I got my grades. Looks like the Cal 1 is directly fed from the directory, and the only way to be in the directory is to be registered. Which, won't happen until an SIR is submitted and actual enrollment takes place..

that's true...oh well it was a thought...it would be cool though if you get in you could keep your same card...unless of course you want a new pic...lol =)

hokay, like, i didnt read all the posts, cuz obviously it is too long..
so here is my situation:
i applied as a freshman 2 yeras ago, rejected.
i applied as transfer and waiting for the decision. ( o well. one more day, and why am i posting this. anywayz)
i never went to any summer school in Cal.
ID starts with 18
the address is my current address which differs from the old one.
email is the application email.
so anyone smart can like interpret this. LOl.

I think we can come to a conclusion now by looking at these new developments.

From what has happened, I think it's pretty clear that being able to see the housing app initially meant nothing more than the fact that you were already in their housing system for some reason (previous high school app, summer school).

If you could see the application before, and the information is updated, you're in. If you could not see the app before, and you now have access, you're in.

The opposite side isn't so clear. It's possible that everyone who has not been updated or given access is rejected. I think if your information is still old, or if you still do not have access, your information was not sent to housing, meaning its likely that you were rejected.

smart LOL....

very good breakdown Daviseng...this housing thing is driving me crazy...it reminds me of the F/A thing for UCLA...which by the way seems like it turned out to be true.

Or it could just mean that a decision was made on your application, seeing as people can see it from when they applied previously regardless of whether they were accepted or not.

we need more people in the "screwed" category to post stats lol

I think the only definitave screwed category would be someone who seen it before and not now.
