I think the current theory is that if your address was UPDATED you're accepted
[/quote]
It had to update to let in people who applied in high school and were rejected. Despite that, they were still rejected. It's a database error.

thanks lostincode, thats what i was trying to say.

hey yo...i couldnt see it like 2 weeks ago when this theory first came out... im a 19...i havent checked until just today and now i can see it....my stats are 3.8xx all breadth and pre reqs done, sick essays, EC's and commun service, UCB Starting point mentor program...are there HAAS applicants that cant see it now?

I couldn't see the app before (a 19) but now I can. Never applied before, no summer school, no past connection to UCB... I have updated info.

booya?

Speculative booya! Yes there are Haas that can see it now, no-one knows for sure, but the data certainly points in a positive direction if you can see it.

I guess I'm not explaining this clearly.

Let me ask you guys this:
Why could people who applied before out of high school see the housing application weeks ago (BEFORE the update) even though they were rejected the first time around?

If getting access to housing always meant you were accepted, then why weren't they accepted coming out of high school?

well, that sounds good for you, xferstd.

My guess is that if your information on the site hasn't been updated, it's just because they haven't gotten to you yet. In other words, in the next few days, they're going to update it. Just you wait.

I dont know anyone that fits your bill Politrix...THe people I know who applied out of hs (and could see it) were accepted.

The other people that could see it were UC inter-transfers and summer school atendees.

If you could truly find a person who applied out of hs and was rejected that could see the application that would be interesting...

You keep fighting against the idea that this means anything, I assume you cant see it? Your right, this may mean NOTHING.....

But I tell you, I don't think it is mere happenstance that the housing site updated 2 days before decisions are coming out...

Lost, what do you mean if you didn't move or change email addresses, you're rejected?

I'm not fighting against it, I was just throwing out another idea, but I guess I was having trouble explaining it because you guys weren't understanding it. You seem to understand what I was saying now.

Yes it is based on high school applicants who could see it despite being rejected. If no one like that exists (like you suggested) then this theory means nothing. For some reason I was under the impression this was the case though. Maybe I was wrong in that assumption.

This theory just died

a 3.5 microbio can see it

gg

hahahah you are so mean lostincode. why can't a 3.5 make it into Cal? they read essays remember.

yeah, unlike ucla, berk actually reads essays...

lol I was just ripping kevintech off :P

NEW EVIDENCE: CALNET ID NO LONGER SAYS "DOES NOT EXIST!" IT SAYS "HAS NOT BEEN ACTIVATED" Woo-hoo!

Does anyone else's CalNet ID (when you try to log-in using that) STILL say "Does not exist" ?

laneb link this

link lane?

Yeah lane which loggin are you using

Tele bears info bears ??

Sorry Lane, can you expand on why that matters (I am a bit out of the loop on that one).
