xferstd, this is the first time you've been able to see the application? or were you able to see it before?

i have a question: a lot of people are saying that their information has been posted in the housing app. What information, i only see address, phone, ect.. Is that what you are referring to?

Boscoboy - exactly what you are talking about address phone stc... The people that could see the app before (summer school) some, including myself, are simply saying that information has been changed to the new information they provided on their transfer application.

In other words the contact information has been updated.

But yes to your question

politrix, you are wrong, because if you can see your application, it means you are a "newly accepted student"; so if you were, as you said "part of the batch of students with decisions" then, that could only mean you are in. It cant be "regardless of accepted or not" because if you arent accepted, you will not be able to see the application. It ** CLEARLY ** states that only NEWLY ADMITTED can see it.

I meant decisions as in regardless of the decision, only that there was a decision. I was basing this against the people who could see it before the update as to what the update meant.

EDIT: And it is CLEARLY wrong since rejected applicants from previous applications could see it.

is that true?

So, if you can see the application...with your old information...

that means you are...sadly rejected???? sigh...

wth are you talkin about? from last year? i dont remember ever having a housing theory until this year.

It cant be this year, since no one has gotten decisions yet...so i dunno wth u are talkin about.

iluvschool...has your housing app updated?

ILUVSCHOOL:

Mojo - I am with you... I take this as nothing but a VERY good sign...We have hit every type of person but ONE

1) A person who could see it before and now their information HAS updated
2) A person who could see it before and their information HASN't updated
3) A person who couldn't see it and now can
4) A person who could never see it and still can't
5) A Haas applicant who can / cant
6) Letters and Science who can / cant

I am excited, but still have to wait till Monday.

The only person we dont have is a person who could see it and now cannot, but we do have a person whose information didn't change which I think is similar. It is possible they only delete you out of the system after a certain period of time.

Talking about the people who could see the housing application weeks ago that were rejected coming out of high school.

just because they were rejected out of HS doesnt mean that they are going to get rejected again....

And, if they could see it, more power to them lol...

Also, the theory goes along with whether or not their info was updated this weekend, so if it wasnt, then i don tknow what to say.

there have always been haas who can see it. the specific case is a haas who couldnt see it before, who can see it now

luvtoolearn...

I have applied to Berkeley previously as a high school senior student and a transfer student...So... I was able to see the housing app previsously, too...but it has my old email address on there...

yoink........!

You're missing what I'm saying.

The two things everyone had in common that could see the housing application weeks ago were:
1. Previous Applicants regardless of whether they were accepted or rejected
2. Summer School students

People who were rejected from previous applications could still see the application despite being rejected. Therefore seeing application != acceptence.

Yeah Zemook that is the only problem situation... Regardless of Haas there isnt anyone who could see it before, who cant now.. There is only those whose information didnt get updated...

The simple explanation is that they never delete you out of the system until a certain period of time..

ALL OF THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A THEORY:

But the housing site clearly says "newly admiited"

I have hope...

flaw.

I think the current theory is that if your address was UPDATED you're accepted

if you didn't move or change email addresses, or you still cannot see the app, you're rejected

I couldn't see the app before now I can. Never applied before, no summer school, no past connection to UCB... I have updated info. and I am a 4.0 CC transfer political science major.
