Cal Housing - "Can you see the Application" list

Alright there are only 9,999 different PINS. If we can test them at a rate of .1 per second, that means that's only 27.775 hours before they're all tried, which means we can find out our decisions BEFORE they are announced. Get cracking!

[523] How often is the Directory updated?

The Directory is updated every morning based on information from HRMS and Student Information Systems.

you're just going to spam them with your IP address then they are going to find out that you were attacking their database once you cracked it, just wait till monday.

[516] When do student records get added to the Directory?

Undergraduate students are added to the Directory once they have Submitted an Intent to Register and have paid initial fees. Until then, students are restricted to using the MyBerkeley application.

Graduate students are added to the Directory once the department which has admitted them has forwarded that information to the Grad Division and Grad Division has forwarded the information to Student Information Systems. Grad Division processes the data once a week.

Lane B, I am not a CS major so I don't know how to program it :( , but I am an industrial engineer, so I can optimize it for minimum time!

so what's the ratio at right now? anyone keeping count?

chris, you were ip checked... we know you're wilderr

wilderr, stop playing games with us. seriously. you were like a glimmer of hope for a second for me, and then you cruelly just played **** out. that's just ********, and nobody appreciates it.

what does it mean to "see" the application?
when i logged on, it tells me the calnet id, then if i scroll down you can see which level i am at, then it says"residence hall" and "apartments" in blue and yellow boxes, then it asks for your preferences and then theme housing...

my calnet id starts with a 18 as well, and when i checked for my friend (who did not apply out of HS, with a 19) got the same results as i did

gdb: what you're seeing is what it means to "see" the application.

"chris, you were ip checked... we know you're wilderr"

Are you really this clueless? You're assuming I don't know anything about computers. Whoops. First, you have no method of verifying whether chriscycler and I have the same IP. An administrator would not tell you, because to provide my (our, really) information to the public would be very illegal.

Second, there is no way an administrator would be able to tell whether we were the same if I was interested in "playing games" on two accounts. I would just onion my IP.

Third, what PURPOSE would using a second account serve? Everyone who has read the thread knows I've thought this application theory was utter rubbish from the first day. Why would I need a second account? To bolster my own argument? Ridiculous. Sense is already behind it. And, as I've said before, if you don't agree - I don't care. Believe me when I say: if I was trying to persuade I'd adopt different rhetoric, not a second identity.

So no, I'm not playing any games and I'm not even trying to be mean. I want to get into Cal as badly as everyone else, but you don't score until you score. Back to midterm prep for me.

Yeah this coming week is death week for quarter schools.

I wish I was on quarter. Semester, it is an online class so the midterm is tonight. Sigh, bad karma.

Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

charming, zemook.. lol

Kill me but I don't want to go through all the posts right now

i had a 19XXXXX couldn't see anything before but now i can!!!

1 more day boys and girls.

and whoever said that i am wilderr, there is no way you can check my internet protocol address unless you are an administrator.

Mellow, try logging in using your CalNet ID (on the housing app just below where you input your Application ID number). Make up a password. I personally believe if it says "CalNet ID has not yet been activated" you are good.

i still cant see this bull#*@$.

ANYBODY in haas instead of 'xferstd' who can see the app?

wow i feel special.....PM sweetny007...she has strong stats...
