Cal Northstate receives accreditation, accepting applications for Fall 2015 admission

Cal Northstate in Elk Grove, CA, has received preliminary accreditation from the LCME and is currently taking applications for its inaugural class. Classes will begin Fall 2015. (Yes, this year!)

Applicants need to apply directly thru Northstate’s application portal, not thru AMCAS. Interviews will begin in 1 week and admissions offered on a rolling basis. Admission preference will be given to CA residents, but the school is private, not public and will consider all applicants.

Because of the its preliminary status, federal student loans are not available. (True for all newly accredited med schools.)
