It’s gonna be a while because they need to wait to see how many people accept their offers of admission, especially into specific major, and then determine if they have room to let anybody from the wait list in

Well the admission decision deadline is on may 1st so you can wait and reject all your other colleges with the hopes of getting into this one. Wait at your own risk. My advice to those on the wait list is to extensively look into the other colleges you applied to and don’t count on this one. Good luck!

Last night my son heard he got wait listed for Biomedical Engineering. He will be forwarded a survey to fill out. Has anyone filled this out before? I am wondering what is on it. (FYI - GPA 4.2, SAT 2010)

My son is still waiting to hear for Biomedical Engineering. Portal still says ‘No Determination has been made’. (Calpoly GPA 4.1, SAT 2170/1460 Math+CR)

So just to update. We checked DS’s portal Wed about noon and it said he was accepted to Business Administration (ACT 32 UW 3.98 W I’m not sure but 4 APs 9-11 (6 this year) + journalism and production drama which waters it down a bit). But he didn’t get the email to check his portal until yesterday (Thursday) about 4pm.

You guys need to relax. They have thousands of applicants and they will not all be notified at the same time. They finish in April so don’t lose hope!

In previous post I said the later the decision the higher the chance. Now I hear that the rejections come some time after all the acceptances (yikes!) but note that this is only a rumor so hang in there

I’m guessing decisions for architecture haven’t come out yet?
I was accepted during the first round a few days ago when the decisions for the business school came out but my friend applied for architecture and hasnt heard and as far as Ive seen no one on here has been accepted for architecture yet but ah Im so nervous for her!

Rejections do get sent to a lot of people on the same day a few weeks after a bunch of people start getting accepted. BUT… they apparently don’t stop having some acceptances in those weeks. Like, last year, some people still had their portals update in the third week (it appears that their portals actually updated on those days, not that they happened to check their emails on those days, which can come a day or two later than the portal actually updates) after it had seemed like a lot of people may had been accepted. But it’s hard to tell just from this website. There really could have been many people who had their portals change with the accepted message that week, just not that many on CC… I don’t know. So, I’m not sure the “no determination” message at this point means rejection (or maybe waitlist?) and that one should assume anything, even though I know it is hard not to, as I don’t feel like this is a good sign either (business transfer applicant here).

Oh… has anyone contacted the admissions office recently and inquired about the time frame for admissions (and maybe gotten an answer about what they are doing as far as acceptances) and would be willing to share what they told you? (I would, but I don’t like making phone calls and was wondering if someone else here had… Ah, maybe I’ll get around to it. I’m just afraid that I’ll annoy them or something.) Also, I was wondering if anyone has heard of any transfers being waitlisted yet (or maybe business in general)?

Checked my portal today, I’ve been put on the wait list as a psychology transfer. Hopefully there’s still a pretty good chance to get in, this is better than rejection and it gives me a glimpse of hope. Good luck to all that are still anxiously waiting.

@applecinnamon My boyfriend goes to cal poly and actually went into the admissions office to talk
to someone about the timeframe. The lady said that they don’t do all acceptances at one time, then rejections after. Instead, she said that when they get to your portal they will say whether you are accepted, rejected, or wait listed. She also said decisions will be made all the way up to April 1st, and that includes acceptances! So like you said, I don’t think someone with the “no determination” message should assume rejection at this point :)
