They rank in the top 20 in the country this year. Will have to wait for the report to find out exactly which top 20. This is pretty impressive considering that this is among all national universities such as USC, Rice, Cornell, UT Austin U of Oregon, Arizona and Kansa and CPP is a smaller regional state university with a smaller budget. By comparison, other programs at Cal Poly Pomona, such as engineering are ranked along other smaller budget state universities.

Congratulations! The arch department is the crown jewel at Cal Poly Pomona. For the record, the college of engineering still outranks the likes of national universities such as Villanova, Texas Christian (TCU), and Miami University. It outranks all other CSUs (except SLO) and has recently become completely impacted in all its programs.

I applied to the architecture program for Fall 2011 so I really hope I can get into such an amazing program!

blondiex,
from your other post, your gpa looks good but maybe you can work on your SAT. I’m sure you can raise your math section. Most people score higher on math than reading. Raise it by about 100 and you’re a sure fit. I forgot to mention other schools like Syracuse, Carnegie Mellon, Cooper Union, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame. Just to think that a CSU can compete with such big name schools for a fraction of the cost is pretty amazing!

Thank you. I just took the SAT again yesterday so I really hope I raised it enough. I just signed up to take it in december again too so I’ll have one more chance to raise it. It would be amazing to go to a school that can compete with all of those top-notch ones for thousands of dollars less
