i plan on attending cal poly pomona next fall. i was wondering what the dorms were like and the differences between them. if anyone out there has any tips, i'd appreciate them!

the best are the suites
the next best are the dorms across from engr campus
the worst are the old brick dorms

then there is the village, which actually are apts.

get the suites if you can.

well, i can't live in the suites or the apartments because i'll be a freshman next year. i'm just trying to decide which of the other dorms i should live in. i've been thinking about encinitas because they have the freshman floor. and my friend is coming with me and we're thinking of getting a dorm together. but nothing is really final right now.

trophy,
have talked to some cal poly pomona ppl and understand that the seven or so dorms along university drive are concentrated with underclassmen and many have specialized floors for architects and engineers. one such dorm is right next to the president's mansion and directly across the street from the main engineering bldg, and all in that row have a commons that includes a health club with workout equipment and a first class gourmet restaurant/cafe. on the other end is a coffee shop, and in between is a quaint duck pond. behind the dorms are tennis courts. it really sounds nice, and congratulations for getting into such an outstanding state university.
