i am planning to dorm at cpp if i come here. i just want to know how the dorms are, not just the way they look but also how the social scene is. Is it recomendable to dorm there or should I just commute?

i heard they’re okay?

^ From what I’ve heard, if you’re a freshman who isn’t local you have to stay in the dorms. We’ll prob see them on Saturday. :)

@Naixn92: yea that’s what I also heard.

@akadavidsmom: really,well when u see them let me know how they are please?

^Sure thing. I hope they’re decent. I’ll let you know. :)

@akadavidsmom : I know me too. And thank you

They are going to open a second set of dorms in the 2010 year, they are suppose to be modern.

That’s cool, Im going to try to get those new modern dorms if I accepted there.

You should get on top of that, once you are accepted, you should try to get those dorms asap. They are going to go fast.

I took a trip and visited my friend at Pomona last spring. He had the unfortunate opportunity of having to live with 2 roommates because they ran out of double roommate dorms. The dorm was cramped like you could expect. The dorms were pretty average though. Nothing special. From what my friend tells me, there are things to do but, it is definitely a commuter school. Frats are your best bets :)

The new residential suites I believe are for third year students with more than 90 or 60 units. They are super modern and nice, and most of them will be completed by fall 2010… Unfortunately the freshman dorms are not nearly as nice and much older.

Yea once I get the notice saying I’m accepted (if i ever do) I am going to apply for housing right away.

Wow!Three people in a crowded little dorm!!! That must suck!

One roommate would be enough for me, unless is one of those apartment-like dorms they have @ CSUN.

Just went to the engineering day today at CPP. The dorms are alright, the same you can find at Cal Poly SLO. When you get inside, it feels… well like you’re in “jail”. I don’t know why, just my opinion. Not enough light, and too warm inside.

talking about the redbricks

@Naixn92
Wow lol that sucks…

Were most of the dorms that you saw two people per room, or three people per room?

for us, next year, they will be enough space for two people per room. that’s what they told us during the tour.
Well, it doesnt look that bad, maybe it was too hot in there because too many people visiting? no idea but it doesnt look that bad. I kinda like it, but i wish we could have more light in the building.

@ Naixn92: .Oh ok… yea well if you ever dorm there make sure you bring a lamp so it wont be that dark.
